In months where the temperature is very low, there is less precipitation. This is because the low temperatures cause the moisture in the environment to freeze. In the warmer months, precipitation increases due to the increase of moisture in the air. This has an affect on the migration patterns of many of the animals there, as well as the adaptations of the full time residents of the area. The animals and plants who live in the Arctic Tundra permanently have to adapt to the changing temperatures and varying ranges of precipitation.
